20/80 LIMITED does not engage in regulated activities, but we work with businesses that do.
About 20/80 LIMITED

We bring great people together, but we don't do 'Sales', irrespective of how tempting such offers might be. (For us, retaining independence from both the buy side and the sale/sell side is essential , for our integrity.)

We provide Consultancy services so individuals in business can connect and create opportunities for great business to be done. In a way we provide 'Marketing' support through our CTG events and CTG Meeting Points, but we do much more than that.
Quite often, those who connect at our events or CTG Meeting Points are unsure about how to take the next step. As part of our freemium service, when one or both parties contact us, we will look to create further opportunities for them to reconnect.
After saying hello, those in business who like what we do can sign up for the paid-for version of '20-80 Connect'. We get the ball rolling by offering a relatively-low level of service, initially, so we plan for the future. Our services are bespoke and we can mutually agree when to upgrade to a higher level of service, later.

We provide lots of opportunities to stay in touch, as there is always another business deal to be done. further down the line. Success breeds success, and the sharing of knowledge and the building of strong connections is very much at the heart of what we do.

20/80 LIMITED is a business support-services company, registered at Companies House under number 10558448. (Our Registered Office is 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England N1 7GU.)
Our Founder
Martyn Ingram, who has a strong background in financial services, established 'Fintech Friday in the City' in 2025 to encourage those working in the City or in Business to meet for lunch in a pub in the City to share knowledge and experience, with a focus on a current, topical, fintech-centric theme, once a month.

A Journey through Time.

Martyn Ingram worked in the financial services industry for 40 years before setting up 20/80 LIMITED in 2017. For much of that time he managed investment portfolios that invested predominantly through collective investment funds, but he also worked as a fund analyst, undertaking detailed research that was widely distributed to professionals working for regulated businesses. For a number of years he also regularly wrote articles that were published in the trade press and, from time to time, he used his expertise to serve as a judge on award panels.

For more than 3 decades, Martyn has spent time engaging with financial services trade bodies and associations. He has gone on to develop relationships with trade bodies and associations that are outside the direct reach of the financial services sector and he has made strong connections with specialists in a wide variety of fields.
(Martyn began working in financial services at the age of 17 in 1976. For almost 10 years he has not engaged in financial service activities that require him to be authorised or registered on the Financial Services Register.)
Fast forward to 2026:
Through his connections, both old and new in the private and public sectors, during the course of the last 9 years, Martyn has fashioned 20/80 LIMITED to engage in four areas of business, namely: (1) financial services, (2) hospitality and leisure, (3) sport and associations, and (4) technology and media.

Martyn strongly supports both freedom of choice and appropriate regulation. (In the financial services sector, for example, he believes that much more needs to be done to encourage investors to be able to make informed decisions.)
