On Saturday the 18th of July 2026, while the 154th British Open is being played at Royal Birkdale, we hold this year's ScratchPutter Day.
There is no need to spend much money on ScratchPutter Day, and much will depend upon where you choose to dine or whether you wish to take the opportunity to play a little golf, while with us.
Practice Makes Perfect: Once a month, on the second Sunday of the month, ScratchPutter can be played in the afternoon at Royston Golf Club in North Hertfordshire.
ScratchPutter Day (Suggested Budget £10.40 to £52.00)
ScratchPutter, which was first played at Royston Golf Club in North Hertfordshire, can be played anywhere where there is a suitable putting green, such as that at Royal Blackheath, in London.
It cannot be played on relatively flat putting greens, such as that at Sudbury Golf Club, near Wembley, or on any putting green that is not large enough to easily accommodate 9 holes of play.
